How do you engage and build rapport with a virtual audience?

Covid 19 has changed the way we communicate. These days we’re having to interact through a computer lens to an audience who might be multitasking, as we try to engage with them.

It’s useful to think about why we choose to speak instead of sending an email? When we interact and express our thoughts and feelings we’re more likely to inspire our listeners to take action.

However, online our body language is reduced and our vocal and facial expression become the focus. Therefore, it’s vital to use clear articulation and a variety of vocal tone to colour our language.

A useful tip is to be present in the moment as this will build connection with your audience.
